This home was designed to accommodate for the needs of a family of 5. Originally being a 1970’s 2 bedroom yellow brick house with council restrictions, situated on a small angulating site, the project presented a challenge for the Architect. After cleaver consideration of the configuration, the property now has 5 ensuited bedrooms, 2 generous living spaces, a garden and pool, and outdoor terrace areas. The meticulous open planning allowed the house to bathe in northern light year round and for the view to be maximised. The house also hosts a number of lounging areas, both indoors and out, this effectively accommodate for a family’s need for space and independence. The primary living spaces on the top level are seamlessly integrated with the garden. While the interiors are inherently modern, it is effectively layered to ensure it is comfortable and relatable. The finishes and fixtures are enduringly sophisticated, allowing them to stand the test of time through maintaining adaptability.
